South Africa's most famous private reserve, known for leopards and the most exclusive lodges.
The Sabi Sand Game Reserve (often written Sabi Sands) borders Kruger along its eastern side, with no fence between them. It is best known for habituated leopards, and it holds many of Africa's best-known lodges — Singita, Londolozi, MalaMala, Sabi Sabi, Lion Sands and Ulusaba among them. Most lodges are reached through Kruger Gate, Shaw's Gate or Newington Gate, or by light aircraft to an airstrip in the reserve.
